Q&A - Can I use Swift Plinths as a shed base?

Q.

Paving slabs for a base seem an awful lots of work - do you think Swift Plinths are a better/lower cost solution - do you know what they cost?

A.
I am unaware of the costing of a Swift Plinth base, however I can appreciate if you are undertaking the base preparation yourself an area of 17 x 14 is a large area to cover. That being said investing is a solid, level base is recommended, particularly for a shed of such large dimensions. Basically the main rules to follow when constructing a base is that the base is strong enough to take the load of the shed, large enough to comfortably sit the shed, and ensuring it is as flat and level as is possible - ultimately the method you choose to achieve this is up to you.
