Doors & access
Add extra doors or choose standard doors, 4-foot double doors, 5-foot double doors, wider double doors or stable doors. You can also choose the hinge side to suit the approach and internal layout.
Roof, height & extensions
Choose felt or Onduline roofing, add extra height, and extend the usable space with roof overhangs or full extensions for sheltered working, storage or access areas.

Pressure treatment drives preservative deep into the timber, making tanalised wood a very good long-term choice where durability and lower maintenance matter.

SHEFFIELD CUSTOMER CASE STUDY
A Strong, Secure Shed for an Active Couple Maintaining Their Land
This 12 x 8 Apex Beast shed in Sheffield gave an older couple the strength, storage and accessibility they needed to help maintain their fields, keep equipment protected and make everyday jobs easier.
This Sheffield installation was completed for an elderly couple who like to stay fit and active by looking after their land, including fields with a couple of horses. They wanted a dependable timber shed that would cope with regular use, provide generous storage and give them peace of mind that their equipment would remain protected.
The building chosen was a 12 x 8-foot Apex Beast shed, sized to fit an existing concrete slab where an old rotten shed had previously stood. Re-using the prepared base helped make the most of the site while replacing an outdated structure with something much stronger, neater and more secure.
This shed was also positioned right up against the couple’s covered outdoor seating area, helping to create a little more shelter around that part of the garden while making the new building feel well integrated into the space.
Because the shed would be used frequently for outdoor work and day-to-day maintenance, ease of access was especially important. The wide 5-foot double doors make it much simpler to move larger items in and out, including a ride-on lawn mower and a wheelbarrow.
Security, storage and easy day-to-day use
The specification was selected to make the shed practical for routine outdoor work. Four security windows admit a limited amount of daylight, so the interior is not completely dark when the doors are closed. They are not intended to flood the shed with light; instead, they offer a sensible compromise between visibility and security, allowing some natural light in while making access through the window openings impossible.
Inside, Beast Sheds fitted two full-length heavy-duty shelves. These create plenty of organised storage space for tools, supplies and smaller equipment, leaving the main floor area clearer for larger items and making the shed easier to work in over time.
The combination of wide access and strong shelving makes the building particularly useful for customers who are regularly moving equipment in and out rather than simply storing a few lightweight garden items. For this couple, that practical usability was every bit as important as the overall strength of the structure.
