Shed guide · Doors

Choose the opening width and door style around what needs to go in and out.

Door construction follows the shed range, while the Beast framework and security upgrade add stronger bracing and longer, bolted hinges.

Door types

Standard

2.5ft wide.

Wide

3ft wide.

4ft double door

A 4ft wide pair of doors.

5ft double door

A 5ft wide pair of doors.

Stable door

Standard width, split so the top and bottom can be opened independently.

Extra door

Add an additional door in your chosen position. An extra door is required when adding a partition.

Hinges and bracing

You can choose whether the door is hinged on the left or right. Hinge size and strength vary by shed range; Beast framework and the security upgrade add more door bracing, and use longer, stronger hinges bolted into place.

How the door is built

Pad bolts are included with all doors. The outside face is clad with tongue-and-groove timber and treated according to the treatment chosen for the shed. The structural timber in the door is made from the same framework as the shed and is always tanalised, helping protect it when the door is left open.

The usual door-frame height is 5ft 8". It can be increased by special request or when the shed itself is taller.
