Shed guide · Flooring

The floor is built to handle damp exposure and day-to-day loading.

Every shed is supplied with a pressure-treated timber floor and pressure-treated wooden floor runners. The Beast range uses a heavier-duty floor construction.

The floor is one of the most difficult parts of a timber shed to repair after installation, so the supplied specification focuses on rot resistance, air circulation and structural strength from the start.

Classic & Security ranges

20mm thick solid timber floorboards with pressure-treated wooden floor runners.

Why the floor is pressure treated

Damp ground and poor air circulation can make a shed floor vulnerable to decay. Pressure treatment helps protect the floorboards against mould and rot, while the floor runners lift the floor structure and improve air circulation beneath the building.

Remember:Once the shed is fitted, you cannot practically treat the underside of the floor, so the treatment needs to be built in from the start.
